Manage Goals

Overview

The Manage Goals module allows users to define, track, and maintain performance targets across different categories, advertising platforms, and custom metrics.

Goals can be configured for multiple reporting periods such as:

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Quarterly

  • Yearly

These targets help teams monitor planned performance against actual campaign results across reports and dashboards.


Accessing Manage Goals

Steps

  1. Navigate to Performance Reports

  2. Click Manage Goals

The Manage Goals page opens.


Manage Goals Interface

The page is divided into multiple configuration sections:

Section Description
Range Selection Configure reporting period
Category Selection Choose reporting category
Source Selection Select advertising platform
Metrics Selection Select metrics for goal tracking
Goal Table Enter target values
Upload/Download Tools Import or export goal sheets

Step 1: Select Goal Range

Choose the time range for goal tracking.

Available options include:

  • Weekly

  • Monthly

  • Quarterly

  • Yearly

Weekly Goals - Weekly mode allows goal management for a selected week range.

Monthly Goals - Monthly mode creates goals for an entire month.

Quarterly Goals - Quarterly mode creates goals for quarter-based planning.

Yearly Goals - Yearly mode enables annual performance planning.


Selecting Dates

Start Date - Choose the starting date for the goal period.

Selected Date Range - The system automatically generates the applicable reporting range.


Step 2: Select Category

Choose the reporting category. Supported categories may include:

Category Description
Commerce Ecommerce and sales metrics
Paid Media Advertising platform metrics
Analytics/Attribution Attribution and analytics data
Email/SMS Messaging performance
Membership/Subscriptions Subscription-related metrics


Step 3: Select Source

Choose the advertising or reporting source. Supported sources may include:

  • Google Ads

  • Facebook Ads

  • TikTok Ads

  • Bing Ads

Source-Specific Metrics

Available metrics change dynamically based on:

  • Selected category

  • Selected source

Example:

Selecting Paid Media + Google Ads may display:

  • Google Campaign target ROAS

  • Daily Budget - Google Ads

  • Google Ad Daily Budget


Step 4: Select Metrics

Choose the metrics that require target tracking. Selected metrics appear in the goal entry table below.

Example Metrics

Metric Description
Target ROAS Return on ad spend target
Daily Budget Daily ad spend allocation
Campaign Target ROAS Campaign-level ROAS target
Ad Daily Budget Platform budget tracking


Need a New Metric?

If the required metric is unavailable:

  1. Click Create one here

  2. Create a custom metric

  3. Return to Manage Goals

The new metric becomes available for selection.


Goal Entry Table

After selecting metrics, a goal entry table is generated.

The table contains:

  • Event Date

  • Selected Metrics

  • Editable target fields


Entering Goal Values

Steps

  1. Locate the desired date row

  2. Enter target values under each metric column

  3. Repeat for all required dates

Editable Goal Inputs

Each metric field supports direct value entry.

Users can:

  • Add numeric targets

  • Modify existing goals

  • Clear unwanted values


Upload XLSX

Goal data can be uploaded using spreadsheet files.

Steps

  1. Click Upload XLSX

  2. Select a formatted spreadsheet

  3. Upload the file

The system automatically populates goal values.


Download XLSX

Export the current goal template or existing goal data.

Steps

  1. Click Download XLSX

  2. Save the spreadsheet locally

This is useful for:

  • Bulk editing

  • Team collaboration

  • Offline planning


Saving Goals

After entering values:

  1. Click Save

  2. The goals are stored and applied to reporting modules

Goal Tracking Usage

Saved goals may be used across:

  • Performance Reports

  • Dashboards

  • KPI Tracking

  • Trend Analysis

  • Attribution Reporting


Updating Existing Goals

Goals can be modified anytime.

Steps

  1. Open Manage Goals

  2. Select the same:

    • Range

    • Category

    • Source

  3. Update target values

  4. Save changes


Switching Between Ranges

Changing the range updates the goal structure dynamically.

Metrics Not Displaying

Verify:

  • Category selection

  • Source selection

  • Metric availability

Some metrics only appear for compatible sources.


Save Button Not Working

Ensure:

  • At least one metric is selected

  • Required fields are completed

  • Goal values are properly entered


Uploaded XLSX Not Applying

Check:

  • Spreadsheet format

  • Metric column alignment

  • Date formatting


Goal Values Missing

Verify:

  • Correct date range

  • Selected category

  • Selected source

  • Saved configuration
